the very best from each employee, and your organization deserves
the best people. We offer psychological tools to help ensure
your workforce meets the demands of your business or

best people are your organization's most important tasks. Since
1991, we have helped over 100 organizations at the local, state,
and national levels by evaluating applicants and employees from
all walks of life, such as executives, managers, technicians,
administrative assistants, nurses, clerks, police officers,
engineers, sales people, attorneys, teachers, firefighters,
assembly workers, and truck drivers. We can help you with your
critical personnel decisions.

Pre-employment Psychological Evaluations
As you already know,
finding the right person for each position in your company is a
major challenge. Depending on the specific job applicants must
be smart, ethical, and conscientious, as well as self-motivated,
dependable and able to show good judgment. We can help you
analyze the characteristics necessary for success in individual
job categories and we can also construct a testing program to
measure them. We will describe each applicant’s predominant
traits and job-related characteristics and let you know what
supervisory or training needs the applicant has. In our
pre-employment screening
process we use a structured, in-depth interview and a battery of
well-standardized tests of personality, cognitive ability, and
work style. This combination of methods allows us to paint a
comprehensive, accurate picture of the strengths and development
challenges of each candidate. We work closely with hiring
managers and human resource professionals to determine the best
selection criteria and the ”best fit” for the job in question.

Leadership and Management Assessment
Good companies are
run by top-shelf leaders and managers. Your company’s
success rests on its capacity to attract, retain and develop
effective leaders, the kind of people who inspire commitment and
exceptional performance in others. As is apparent to every
hiring manager, dimensions such as years on the job and
technical proficiency do not necessarily lead to success as a
manager. Successful leaders not only model integrity,
interpersonal effectiveness, and performance tenacity, they also
promote synergy, collaboration and creative problem solving in
others. Your company has a leadership style and a
corporate culture it values and promotes, and when you bring in
new leaders, they need to do more than just give lip service to
your company’s principles. We can help you find and
develop the next generation of great managers who will promote
and maintain your company’s competitive edge. See how
Leadership and Management Assessment

Fitness-for-Duty Psychological Evaluations
One of the most difficult
situations an administrator has to deal with is an employee who
is troubled or problematic, and may be unable to work in a safe
and effective manner. Through a comprehensive examination process,
we can tell you if your employee is fit to work, and, if not, what
to do to help that person and your organization. We will recommend
interventions such as mental health or chemical dependency treatment,
if appropriate, as well as advise you regarding possible work restrictions
and accommodations to help your employee get back to work, if and
when that’s possible. We can help you plan strategies that
will conform to recommended practices under the Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA). And if an employee is unlikely to be able to return to
work in the foreseeable future, we can help facilitate applicable
long-term disability benefits. A thorough and timely fitness-for-duty
exam can protect your organization from potentially dangerous behavior
and from possible charges of negligence in hiring or retention.
It is also the best way to make sure that a problem employee gets
the help he or she needs. Our
fitness-for-duty
examinations include an in-depth, structured interview with
the employee, a battery of objective personality and cognitive tests,
and a review of the records related to the problem behaviors. We
strive to provide information that is in the best interests of the
employee and the organization.

Disability Determination
and Return-to-Work Evaluation
Mental health, emotional, and personality
problems are often “invisible” disorders that can have a
profound negative effect in the workplace. For
disability
determination and return-to-work issues, we use a structured,
in-depth interview and a battery of objective, well-standardized
personality, cognitive, academic achievement, and
neuropsychological tests. We review social and personal history,
as well as education and work history, to determine the
employee’s capacity as well as level of motivation to change. We
strive to make recommendations that are in the best interests of
the employee and the organization, including reasonable
workplace accommodations.

Consultation and Training for ADA and FMLA
The Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA) is designed to provide fair access to employment for people
with disabilities. The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) guarantees
eligible employees leave for certain medical issues, such as childbirth,
care of immediate family members, and mental health problems. We
can help your organization comply with these laws to best serve
your employees and to meet your organizational goals by making an
accurate assessment of what mental health problems
might exist and planning return-to-work
strategies.
